What Artists Do When Bored.

From time-to-time, artists sit around and try to decide what to do.  Well sometimes boredom takes center stage, and then the creative juices start flowing in rather peculiar ways.  My son (Capt. Karl) had just flown over to someplace in Europe, delivering an A-10, and then flew back with another plane.  He sent us a picture taken from the tanker that was accompanying them (saves stopping for fuel.)  This provided me with an opportunity to take one of my backgrounds that just wasn’t working for anything, and use it for this painting.

Titled “A-10’s in a Thunderstorm” and being what it was (a good painting – good color, composition, etc., but not saleable) it stayed on the shelf for a while, and then I donated it to our Hendersonville, NC  Art League (A.L.H.C.) for our annual fund-raiser for the art programs of the High Schools (four) of Henderson County.  It has been returned to me, as it did not sell (surprise, surprise.)  So, for your enjoyment see Fig. 1 – If you want to acquire it, it’s for sale $35USD including shipment.  Click on the picture title to e-mail me for details.
